The Magnitude

The Magnitude

In my excitement and anticipation for my own performance this weekend, I have forgotten the magnitude of the professional field, particularly men, that will be vying for some serious loot this weekend (from both the Chicago marathon as well as from the larger World Marathon Majors group).  Thanks to Amby Burfoot over at RW for reminding me that this weekend’s race could be one for the history books.

“Even when you have gone as far as you can, and everything hurts, and you are staring at the specter of self-doubt, you can find a bit more strength inside you, if you look closely enough.”

–Hal Higdon
